Le George Restaurant
George V – Four Seasons
Unbelievably amazing food and atmosphere
Like I’ve said on many occasions, eating out in Paris has been my biggest nightmare. Because it is is extremely expensive to find a decent meal, and very often when the meal is okay the proportions are so small I am left hungry. But Le George Restaurant at the George V Four seasons hotel is a completely different story.
I have previously stayed at this hotel but never dined in any of its restaurants. I always feared to spend a ton of money and not be gastronomically satisfied, which is often the case. Not that I am expecting American sized portions or eat a steak from a cattle that has been grass fed from the finest and purest grass in the world, while it’s stomach has been massaged for best digestion for the duration of its lifetime at the Nayara Spa in Costa Rica. But I don’t always seek a thriller or a tasting spree or even an over the top decorated bite size meal. Most of the time I just want to eat great tasting meal that will truly satisfy my taste buds and surprisingly Le George Restaurant did it!
During this trip to Paris, I took a stroll around the different restaurants at the hotel. Le George really caught my eyes. The menu is simple, eye-catching, and the options were tempting. Furthermore, the price was okay in comparison to the other restaurants of similar scale. Since everyone was okay with it I made reservations for that evening.
Le George Restaurant has an indoor and sort of outdoor area, The outdoor area is not really outdoor, it just has a lot of natural light, open roof, and best of all green spaces. I was shocked to learn that the hotel spends 1M euros on flowers alone every year.
For those who prefer comfort and intimacy, the tables with couch are a great option for groups.
Great selection and variety of food
Before we even ordered the appetizers, we got these small bites to start with. The minute I saw the bread I started to get scared, we all know what bread usually means!
The appetizers were delightful and great size to even share.
The food was amazing! Great taste, and best of all the portions were just right.
To finish up the food festivities, the meal desert apart from looking great, it tasted likewise.
My guests and I had pleasantly satisfying experience at Le George Restaurant. Throughout dinner, we were discussing how this dining experience was far different from other restaurants.
Customer service was undeniably perfect, the waitress was not only professional but was well exceptionally friendly. Not the fake friendly just to be nice for the sake of being nice. But overall the staff was generally nice.
I can see myself coming here very often. I think I will bring my family over, and a few dinner parties in the future will be hosted here as well.
